Stanislaus State offers summer math camps for kids in Turlock
Math camps are being offered for incoming seventh- and eighth-graders and high school freshmen at California State University, Stanislaus. Registration is online at https://commerce.cashnet.com/Math1.
Geometry Math Camp will be at the Turlock campus 9 a.m. to noon July 6-10, meeting at the Science I lobby (building No. 9). Cost is $50 and includes supplies. Students will get the foundations for success in geometry.
Algebra Math Camp will be 9 a.m. to noon July 13-17, meeting at the Demergasso-Bava Hall lobby (building No. 21). Cost is $50 and includes supplies. The program will cover algebraic concepts using algebra tiles, learning wraps and other hands-on applications.
A Math and Science Academy, including robotics, will be offered for sixth- through eighth-graders 8 a.m. to noon July 20-24, meeting at the Bizzini Hall lobby. Cost is $250.
