MJC Planetarium laser show gets a rock ’n roll twist for Telescope Night

“Twist & Shout” during the June 4 Modesto Junior College’s Telescope Night. A 10:10 p.m. laser show in the Planetarium will feature a Beatles play list including that classic tune, “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Help!” and others.

The Great valley Museum will be open from 7 to 10:15 p.m. for the event. Telescope viewing is on the Science Community Center rooftop.

Planetarium shows will feature a program on the Earth, moon and sun at 8:10 p.m. and another will cover the Ultimate Universe at 9:10 p.m.

Cost is $5 to visit the Museum and $6 for Planetarium shows, with discounts for children, students and seniors. The Beetles late show will be $4. Children under 4 are not admitted into Planetarium shows. Parking on campus is $2.

The Science Community Center is on the MJC West Campus, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto.
