Modesto Junior College to toast 50 years of nursing graduates
The associate’s degree nursing program at Modesto Junior College will celebrate its 50th graduation in June. Over the past half century, MJC has graduated 4,128 nurses from the program.
MJC will hold a Celebration of 50 Years of Nursing Excellence with a reception and open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 4 in Glacier Hall on the west campus, 2201 Blue Gum Ave. The event is free, with free parking available in Lot 215.
The open house will include tours of Glacier Hall, MJC’s state-of-the-art allied health building, with its high-tech patient simulation laboratory.
The reception will include refreshments and a presentation of nursing student scholarships. The Modesto Junior College Foundation and the Nursing Alumni Association are sponsoring the event.
