American Legion honors middle-schoolers Wednesday

American Legion Post 74 will present the 2015 Education Awards medal at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the American Legion Hall, 1001 S. Santa Cruz Drive. Thirty-two eighth-graders will be honored:

▪ Big Valley Christian School: Tyler Meyer and Hannah Whiteford

▪ Savage Middle School: Scott Genzmer and Zoe Zuidema

▪ Ustach Middle School: Samuel Hale and Margaret Peterson

▪ Hanshaw Middle School: Ryzen Ran and Devon Keene

▪ Hart-Ransom Junior High: Carson Hull and Jenissa Gonzalez

▪ Hart-Ransom Academic Charter School: Trevor Flory and Claire Hoxie

▪ La Loma Junior High: Lars Paulsen Tegan and Rose Jackson

▪ Modesto Christian Middle School: Collin Soderstrom and Sunaian Dhillon

▪ Glick Middle School: Andrew Hernandez and Dafne Juarez

▪ Paradise School: Jesus Palomares and Avery Thomason

▪ Prescott Junior High: Fernando Alan Guerrero and Lauren Arakelian

▪ Roosevelt Junior High: Ben Clark and Audrey Mendoza
