Mary Ann Sanders Elementary School in northeast Modesto had a Community Beautification Day on Friday. Principal Carrie Albert said the school had Orchard Supply Hardware, which donated soil plants and supplies, as well as “students, teachers and some parents ‘beautifying’ our campus with plant bed makeovers.” Other students, she said, picked up trash, swept, cleaned tables and otherwise improved the campus.
