Turlock High walked away the winner in the 30th annual Stanislaus County Occupational Olympics and Career Exposition held Wednesday at the Stanislaus County Fairground in Turlock.

Turlock High won the large school overall award; Hughson High captured the most points among small schools.

The event brought about 750 students to compete in 22 career-focused contests. The events showcased student interests and expertise from accounting to ag engineering, retail sales to robotics, salad preparation to drag racing.

In addition, students had a chance to talk with representatives from 57 area employers. Local businesses and industries provided judges for the events, checking students’ knowledge of their fields of interest, ability to perform tasks using appropriate tools and employability skills.
