Ceres man arrested in Stockton deadly shooting
Police arrested a Ceres man in connection with a deadly shooting Saturday night in Stockton.
Eric Martin Taylor, 27, has been charged with murder in the shooting of a 49-year-old man, according to a Stockton police news release. The victim’s name has not been released.
Taylor on Sunday was being held at the San Joaquin County Jail. His bail was set at $1.1 million.
The shooting occurred about 8:50 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Perlman Drive, near Ralph Avenue and about a mile east of Interstate 5 in Stockton. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the area.
The officers arrived and found the man injured by gunfire inside a vehicle in a parking lot. The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Officers found and arrested Taylor at the scene. Police did not release any further details about the shooting.
