Man arrested in Keyes shooting
Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office SWAT team and gang deputies surrounded a home in Keyes Friday morning to serve an arrest on a man wanted for attempted murder.
The suspect, 24-year-old Ricardo Suarez, came out of the the home in the 4600 block of Lucinda Avenue and surrendered, according to Sgt. Anthony Bejaran.
He said Suarez was wanted in connection with a shooting on Aug. 12 two blocks from the Lucinda home.
A man was shot in the stomach. He survived but his condition was not available Friday afternoon.
Deputies from the Sheriff's Special Team Investigating Narcotics and Gangs identified Suarez as a suspected and believe the shooting was gang-related.
Suarez is being held on $500,000 bail.
