Patterson detectives make arrest in market robbery
With the help of tips from the public, Patterson Police Service detectives on Thursday arrested a man suspected in a robbery in November.
The suspect robbed the M&S Market on Sperry Avenue in Patterson on Nov. 23, armed with a black revolver and wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and a multicolored bandana over his face.
Video surveillance from the store was was obtained by detectives, who released images to Crime Stoppers and local media.
Detectives subsequently received an anonymous tip identifying the suspect as 20-year-old Albert Matson III, of Crows Landing, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives on Thursday served a search warrant in the 22000 block of Armstrong Road in Crows Landing, where they located information that Matson was at a home in Delhi.
Detectives went to the 16000 block of Lancaster Street in Delhi and located Matson. He was arrested without incident on suspicion of robbery.
