Man who bites off mom’s ear in Patterson dispute gets 21-year sentence
A Riverbank man who bit off his mom’s ear was sentenced to 21 years in prison, according the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office.
Marquette Lashon Hudson, 44, was found guilty of mayhem. His long sentence was tied to previous convictions and the state’s “Three Strikes” law.
The February 2015 incident was touched off over an argument about moving out of a house.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to a home in the 1400 block of Granite Creek Drive in Patterson at 8:30 a.m. for a report of a family fight.
When they arrived, deputies found a woman whose ear was partially bitten off.
Deputies learned Hudson had been staying at his mother’s Patterson home with his family. Hudson was in the process of moving out; when his mother wanted him out of the home Wednesday, they started arguing and Hudson bit off the woman’s ear.
Hudson left the home before deputies arrived; he later turned himself and was arrested on a charge of mayhem.
The ear could not be fully reattached surgically.
