Modesto police to have DUI checkpoint set up on Saturday night
Modesto police will have a DUI enforcement team out Saturday night in areas of high frequency.
“The City of Modesto takes a very proactive approach toward DUI Enforcement,” said Sgt. Jerry Ramar of the Modesto Police Department Traffic Unit. “This is a ‘zero tolerance’ crackdown so drive sober or get pulled over!”
The checkpoint to catch those driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will last from 7:30 p.m. Saturday to 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
“California’s roadways are very much safer today than they were just a few years ago,” Ramar said. “The Modesto Police Department will be keeping the pressure on through enforcement and public awareness so that we can continue saving lives and prevent injuries.”
