The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is seeking two men who assaulted and robbed an elderly man in his home in Standard, east of Sonora.

The home invasion occurred just before 6 p.m. Monday in the 15000 block of Tuolumne Road. According to a Facebook post by the Sheriff’s Office, investigators say the residence was specifically targeted.

The two men entered the victim’s home and knocked him to the ground. They stole the man’s wallet and about $2,000 in cash.

The victim described the two men as white, 30 to 35 years old, dark-haired, clean-shaven, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall. They wore blue jeans and colored T-shirts.

The victim said he did not recognize the robbers but did see a beige car leave his driveway and head east on Tuolumne Road.
