Ripon man arrested in child pornography case
A Ripon man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
The Ripon Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit initiated a peer-to-peer investigation earlier this year regarding suspected child pornography. In February, detectives served a search warrant at a home connected to the investigation.
Electronic evidence was seized and later examined.
On Thursday detectives returned to the suspect’s home with a warrant for his arrest.
Kevin Andrew McManis, 55, Ripon was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on a felony charge of possession of child pornography.
