Man stabbed in east Modesto neighborhood

A man was hospitalized Tuesday after being stabbed multiple times in southeast Modesto.

The man was walking in the 200 block of Riverside Drive at about 1 p.m. when someone threw a paint can at him, said Modesto Police spokeswoman Heather Graves.

The suspect then stabbed the man multiple times in the arm.

A trail of blood marked the victim’s path after the stabbing, which led north on Riverside then west on Haddon Avenue.

Police and emergency personnel found him in the 2500 block of Haddon.

Officers went to a home on Riverside where they believed the stabbing occurred and detained several people but all of them were released, Graves said.

She said the victim was “very uncooperative” and no witnesses came forward.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a Modesto hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
