Victim in stable condition after drive-by shooting in Turlock
A 25-year-old man was in stable condition in a local hospital Thursday after being shot multiple times late Wednesday afternoon.
About 5:55 Wednesday, officers were dispatched to a call of shots fired on the 100 block of Almond Avenue. The call quickly elevated to a report that a man had been shot.
Officers arrived to find that the victim suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds. The man, who was sitting alone in his vehicle, was struck three times, said Turlock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Stephen Webb. The suspect drove by, fired the shots and fled.
Information on how many shots were fired and where the victim was hit was unavailable Thursday morning.
There also was little information on the suspect and the vehicle he drove, other than it was a dark-colored sedan.
