Riverbank police seek gas station robbery suspect

Riverbank police are looking for a white male in his early to mid-20s who robbed the Shell gas station at 3102 Atchison St. on Tuesday night.

Shortly after 10 p.m., the man arrived at the station and and forced a store clerk back inside with a large knife. He went behind the counter, stole the money from the register and then fled on foot through the alley.

The suspect is described as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with a slender build, wearing a black sweat shirt, black shoes, dark blue jeans, a black beanie with a fur lining, dark sunglasses and a red bandana concealing his face.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Riverbank Police Services Detective Eric Torres at 209-863-7158.
