At 7 a.m. Wednesday, a man estimated to be in his 20s and wearing a black coat and black mask entered the QuikStop market at Lakewood and Briggsmore avenues, said Sgt. Steve Stanfield. No weapon was seen.
After the robbery, he fled through the rear of the business and through an adjacent apartment complex. Officers searched the complex, Stanfield said, but did not locate the suspect.
Tuesday, shortly after 7:30 p.m., two men armed with a handgun entered the Pizza Hut restaurant at 1400 Standiford Ave., west of Tully Road. After the robbery, they left the scene in a Ford SUV, Stanfield said. No description of the men was available.
