Modesto man arrested for lying about being stabbed
A parolee was arrested Thursday night after he lied to 911 dispatchers about being stabbed.
Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Winford Street in east Modesto at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, said Modesto Police Lt. Jason Grogan. Josh Boatright, 28, reported to dispatchers he had been stabbed multiple times during a family dispute.
Officers, as well as firefighters and an ambulance, arrived at the home to find no one had been stabbed and no one was injured.
Grogan said Boatright admitted to lying about being stabbed but didn’t say why.
Boatright was arrested on suspicion of making a false report and parole violation. He is on parole for home invasion robbery.
