Man found shot several times east of downtown Modesto
A man shot several times and found sitting in his car Wednesday night about a mile east of downtown Modesto is expected to survive.
One person, who apparently knows the victim, has been detained. Another person remains outstanding, according to Heather Graves, spokeswoman for the Modesto Police Department.
Officers were called to 14th and D streets at about 8 p.m. on a report that a man had been shot. When they arrived, they found a 28-year-old shooting victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital.
A little later, they detained a possible suspect, who was found at a home.
As of late Wednesday night, no arrests had been made, Graves said.
We’ll have more on the story as information becomes available.
