Modesto police investigating robbery at Dollar General store

Modesto police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Friday night at the Dollar General store.

According to Lt. Ivan Valencia, a man entered the store at 1100 Carver Road just after 9 p.m., brandished a gun and minutes later, left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Nobody was injured, Valencia said.

There was no immediate description of the suspect, who fled the business on foot.
