Man found in U-haul in Salida was shot

The man found dead inside a U-Haul in Salida had been shot, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said Monday.

Sgt. Anthony Bejaran didn’t release any more details about the investigation, other than saying the victim is 30. He did not release his name.

The man was found inside a U-Haul on Wallasey Way late Sunday afternoon.

Bejaran would not say who rented the U-Haul or if that person is a suspect. Residents said the U-Haul arrived in the neighborhood over the weekend.
