Man shot in east Modesto

A 24-year-old man was shot multiple times early Friday morning inside a duplex in east Modesto.

He was taken to a Modesto hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, said Lt. Brandon Gillespie.

Modesto police were dispatched to the duplex in the 2000 block of Oakdale Road at about 5:45 a.m., where the victim said he’d been shot by two men.

Gillespie said the victim did not provide any other details about the men and it’s unclear whether he knew them.

“This could be gang-related,” he said. “The victim is being very vague as to what happened.”
