DUI checkpoint nets four arrests in Modesto
A DUI checkpoint over the weekend resulted in the arrest of four suspected of drunk driving.
Also, 29 drivers were cited or arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license and two people were cited for other offenses at the checkpoint Saturday night, according to the Modesto Police Department.
The checkpoint was held from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. at McHenry and Frances avenues.
Modesto police will conduct another DUI saturation patrol on Friday and a DUI/driver license checkpoint on Dec.12.
The checkpoints are funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
