A jury is expected to resume deliberations Monday in a trial for three defendants accused of murder in the stabbing of a teenager during what authorities believe was a botched robbery at a Modesto park.

The jury of six women and six men deliberated Wednesday and Thursday but went home without reaching a verdict.

Authorities say Jacob Segura, Taylor Koplen and Juan Garcia confronted Tylor Crippen and his girlfriend before the defendants chased Crippen into Creekwood Park, where he was stabbed to death.

Along with the murder charge, the defendants face two counts of attempted robbery in the attack on Crippen and one count of robbery in a confrontation with Alex Salazar minutes earlier at the same park.
