Jury continues deliberations in deadly stabbing of Tylor Crippen at Modesto park
A jury is expected to resume deliberations Thursday in a trial for three defendants accused of murder in the stabbing of a teenager during a botched robbery at a Modesto park.
The jury of six women and six men deliberated Wednesday but went home without reaching a verdict.
Authorities say Jacob Segura, Taylor Koplen and Juan Garcia confronted Tylor Crippen and his girlfriend before the defendants chased Crippen into Creekwood Park, where he was stabbed to death.
Along with the murder charge, the defendants face two counts of attempted robberry in the attack on Crippen and one count robbery in confrontation with Alex Salazar minutes earlier at the same park.
On Wednesday, the jury asked the court to review testimony from Crippen’s girlfriend, Salazar and DNA analysts.
