Stoned driver hits parked cars at Memorial Medical Center

A report of a man who hit several parked cars in the garage at Memorial Medical Center resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence Tuesday night.

When officers responded to the parking garage at about 7:20p.m., they found that the driver had not suffered a seizure but rather admitted to smoking marijuana on the roof the the garage, said Modesto police spokeswoman Heather Graves.

The man was driving through the garage at a high speed when he hit three parked cars, damaging five, all told, including his own.

Graves said Nathaniel Madero, 18, was cited on suspicion driving under the influence and released to the custody of his mother.
