Patterson men arrested after robbing man twice
Three Patterson men were arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of robbing a man near Garza Park and then following him to his home in Crows Landing where they robbed him again.
The initial robbery happened near the park sometime after midnight when the 24-year-old man was approached by three suspects, one of whom had a shotgun, said Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Sgt. Anthony Bejaran.
The suspects demanded the victim’s shoes.
After giving the men his shoes, the victim drove home to Crows Landing.
The suspects followed him there and then demanded more property and threatened to shoot him, Bejaran said.
The victim called police after the suspects left. Deputies found the suspects’ vehicle on Highway 33 traveling toward Patterson.
Deputies conducted a high-risk traffic stop on the vehicle, in which the suspects were ordered out of the car at gunpoint. Deputies searched the car and found a sawed-off shotgun, Bejaran said.
Francisco Cortez, 28, Cesar Fletes, 23, and Enrique Silva, 23, were all arrested on suspicion of two misdemeanors and five felonies including robbery, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.
