Ceres police investigate shooting that leaves man with life-threatening wounds
A 34-year-old man in Ceres is being treated for life-threatening wounds after he told police he had been shot late Sunday night.
Officers with the Ceres Police Department were called to the 1600 block of Darrah Street, where the man told them he was visiting friends in the area and was approached by a Latino man, possibly 18 years old.
In the short conversation with police before he was taken to a nearby hospital, the victim said he was shot by the suspect several times without provocation.
