The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information about the burglaries that led to the arrest of two Oakdale men on Sunday.

Patrol deputies and detectives have been investigating a string of burglaries that occurred over the last few months in the areas of Lake Don Pedro and Lake Tulloch. The thefts mainly have been from boats and docks.

The investigation led detectives to a home in the 200 block of Johnson Avenue in Oakdale. A search warrant served there Sunday uncovered numerous stolen items, the Sheriff’s Office reported, including property from Lake Don Pedro and Lake Tulloch burglaries.

Joshua Tomlinson, 32, and Mark Tomlinson Jr., 34, were arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000; both men have been released from custody pending their court date.

The Tomlinsons – information on their relationship was unavailable – also face drug charges because the search revealed a marijuana extraction lab on their property.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone who has been a victim of a theft from a boat or dock area on Lake Don Pedro or Lake Tulloch in the past few months call 209-533-5815 to report the theft.

Oakdale Police Department officers assisted in serving the search warrant. The department asks that anyone with information on the case call Detective Aaron Beatty or Officer Andrew Stever at 209-847-2231.
