Woman tries to rob Modesto bank, teller refuses
Modesto police are looking for a woman who tried to rob the Bank of America on Dale Road Wednesday afternoon.
The woman handed a note to the teller demanding cash at about 4:20 p.m., said Modesto Police Lt. Jason Grogan. There was no indication the woman had a weapon or suggested that she did.
The teller refused to give the woman cash so she left the bank and was last seen walking toward nearby Vintage Faire Mall, Grogan said.
The woman is described as white with a medium build and brown hair. She was wearing a purple shirt, blue jean shorts and black glasses.
Anyone with information about the attempted robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 209-521-4636.
