Vehicles, home hit in Del Rio drive-by shooting, Stanislaus Sheriff’s Office says

Deputies with Salida Police Services responded to multiple reports of a drive-by shooting early Thursday morning in the Del Rio area north of Modesto.

Multiple 911 calls were made at about 3:40 a.m. reporting gunshots on the 7000 block of Carver Road,

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that several vehicles and an occupied residence had been struck by gunfire, according to a social media post by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, which provides police services in Salida. Further investigation revealed that suspects arrived at the residence in a vehicle and began shooting before fleeing the scene.

Two adults and a child were inside the residence at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.

No suspects have been identified, and a motive is currently being investigated.
