A 94-year-old man was injured in a home invasion robbery last month has died from his injuries, authorities said Thursday.
Modesto police responded to a home-invasion robbery at 10:30 p.m. July 24 in the 1400 block of Gary Lane near Memorial Medical Center. An 85-year-old woman said she was sitting in the living room when she saw a suspect enter from the kitchen. The suspect walked to the back of the home before leaving through a side door with a second suspect.

She found Iverson lying on the ground in the breezeway outside, bleeding from the head. Iverson was taken to a local hospital with a broken nose, facial fracture, and skin tearing. He died Monday. An autopsy is scheduled to determine cause of death.
