Waterford victim ID’d in homicide investigation, Stanislaus Sheriff’s Office says

A 35-year-old Waterford man has been identified as the victim in a homicide investigation after deputies found him unresponsive Sunday morning, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded before 7:30 a.m. June 14 to the 12300 block of Quicksilver Street in Waterford after receiving a report of an unresponsive man, authorities said.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

The victim was identified as Kenneth Rivera-Cruz.

No information about a suspect or the circumstances surrounding Rivera-Cruz’s death was immediately released.
