$1,000 reward offered in Stanislaus County homicide. Victim not yet identified

Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a Stanislaus County homicide after a body was found last week near Oakdale.

Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the death of an unidentified person whose body was discovered around 5:20 p.m. April 14 in the area of Adams Gravel Plant Road and Highway 108.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and later determined the death was a homicide, authorities said.

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office said it cannot yet release the identity of the deceased.

Officials have released no additional details about the case, including gender and whether the person is a juvenile or adult. Sgt. Michael Carranza said investigators are limiting what information is shared publicly.
