Modesto woman killed in hit-and-run. CHP seeks driver of white Ford F-150
A 79-year-old Modesto woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night near Riverbank, and authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver.
The California Highway Patrol Modesto office said the crash occurred around 9 p.m. April 7 near Claribel and Langworth roads.
According to the CHP, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a passing vehicle. The driver did not stop.
The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Peggy Holt, 79, of Modesto.
Investigators believe the vehicle involved may be a white 2009-2014 Ford F-150. Authorities say the truck likely has damage to the right front side, including the headlight assembly, front bumper and hood or fender.
The image released by CHP is a similar model to the vehicle it is searching for.
