Two stabbed in Modesto altercation. Riverbank man charged with attempted murder
Two adults were stabbed during a family altercation Tuesday afternoon in Modesto, and a 22-year-old Riverbank man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the Modesto Police Department.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 1 p.m. to the 3600 block of McReynolds Avenue after receiving reports of a stabbing, police spokesperson Sharon Bear said.
When officers arrived, they found two adults who had been stabbed during what authorities described as a family-related altercation.
The victims were taken for medical treatment. Their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, Bear said.
Police arrested the suspect, 22-year-old Elijah Taylor of Riverbank. He faces charges of attempted murder, criminal threats and a probation violation.
Investigators did not immediately release additional details about the circumstances that led to the altercation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
