A 20-year-old Turlock man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an investigation involving child sexual abuse material, according to the Turlock Police Department.

Angel Lanfranco was taken into custody Feb. 24 after detectives received a cybertip through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, police said in a news release.

Authorities said Lanfranco later came to the Turlock Police Department voluntarily to speak with detectives about the case. Following the interview, he was arrested on suspicion of possessing obscene matter of a minor in a sexual act.

He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Facility.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to contact Detective Kauffman at 209-656-3155.
