More than 15 pounds of marijuana seized during CHP DUI stop in Modesto
More than 15 pounds of marijuana were seized during a traffic stop in Modesto that began as a suspected DUI investigation, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers with CHP – Modesto said the stop occurred on Saturday after a driver was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence. During the investigation, officers discovered approximately 15.5 pounds of marijuana inside the vehicle.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession, transportation and sales, CHP said in a social media post.
No additional details were released regarding the driver’s identity, the specific location of the stop or whether alcohol or drugs were suspected in the DUI investigation.
