Three arrested after home invasion armed robbery in Ceres, chase into Manteca

A home invasion-style armed robbery in Ceres resulted in a multi-agency pursuit that led to the arrest of three suspects in Manteca, Ceres police said.

The incident began late Saturday and the arrest was made at 3 a.m. Sunday.

According to a Ceres Police Department Facebook post, three armed men were seen on a Ceres woman’s surveillance camera breaking into the home. There was nobody home at the time of the break-in; the woman called 911.

The break-in happened at around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of Zurich Lane, the post said.

As the suspects left the area, with several items from the residence, a witness observed them and followed, providing their location to Ceres police.

Police attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects took off and police pursued them, the post said.

The pursuit involved multiple law enforcement agencies across two counties and ultimately ended in Manteca.

The suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot and were tracked to a residence in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue in Manteca.

Ceres Police Department SWAT Team and Investigations Division responded and led the investigation.

With the assistance of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, Air 101, Modesto Area CHP, and the Manteca Police Department, the three suspects were taken into custody shortly after 3 a.m. The suspects have not been identified.

This investigation remains active and ongoing, the post said.

Anyone with information related to the incident should contact Ceres police Det. Walsh at 209-538-5616.
