Modesto Police Department

A shooting that followed a dispute between family members in Modesto on Thursday sent a 31-year-old man to the hospital, according to the Modesto Police Department.

The Modesto Fire Department reported a call to the 300 block of Bruce Avenue a little after midnight and found one person with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics treated and then transported the man to a local hospital. He was reported to have “non-life threatening injuries,” according to MPD spokesperson Sharon Bear.

MPD arrested 31-year-old Jacob Sedoo on suspicion of attempted murder. He’s currently being held at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center in lieu of $1.5 million bail.
