Juveniles fired shots at Modesto home. 16-year-old arrested, police say

Modesto police arrested a 16-year-old boy after several juveniles allegedly fired multiple shots toward a home on Ironside Drive on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Police Department.

Spokesperson Sharon Bear said officers were called around 4:45 p.m. Nov. 11 for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they were told several male juveniles had been driving down the street and fired four to five shots toward the residence.

No one inside the south Modesto home was struck by gunfire.

Officers searched the area and located four juveniles believed to be involved, Bear said. A 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm and being a minor in possession of a firearm.

The investigation is ongoing.
