Body of missing man found at Pinecrest
Tuolumne County sheriff's officials Thursday recovered the body of a missing Napa man in the Pinecrest Lake area.
Robert Gleason, 52, had been missing since Aug. 9 and was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to deputy Paul Tualla, a sheriff's spokesman. Gleason was found near Cleo's Bath Trail when a caller saw the body while trying to get a cell-phone signal to get help for an injured hiker, Tualla said.
After assisting the injured hiker, the Pinecrest Fire Depart- ment responded and found Gleason's body, he said. The California Highway Patrol and Pinecrest Fire Department assisted sheriff's officials in recovering the body.
Coroner's officials identified Gleason's body. He was last seen in Napa, and authorities found his vehicle Sunday on Rustic Drive in Pinecrest.
