Stanislaus County man booked on suspicion of lewd acts with minor. Patterson home searched

A 30-year-old man is facing charges of lewd acts with a minor after arrest and search warrants were served Wednesday in an investigation by Stanislaus County sheriff detectives and Patterson Police Services.

The Sheriff’s Department said Arshad Wood was observed leaving a residence in the 600 block of Lorelei Lane around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Wood was arrested following a traffic stop.

Detectives conducted a search of the man’s residence in Patterson as part of an ongoing investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Wood was booked in jail on multiple charges, including alleged rape of an intoxicated victim, lewd acts with a minor, possession of child pornography, domestic violence and possession of an undetectable firearm. Bail is set at more than $2 million.

No additional information was released regarding the arrest.
