Man found dead of apparent homicide in Ceres trailer park. Sheriff’s Office investigating

An apparent homicide victim was found dead Saturday in a mobile home park on the 700 block of River Road in Ceres, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.

The man, believed to be in his 70s, was found dead in one of the trailers at about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4, according to a news release. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation after the circumstances of the incident led them to believe there may be foul play.

The investigation is ongoing and the identity of the victim has not yet been confirmed. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office’s nonemergency line at 209-552-2468. Anonymous tips may be left with Stanislaus County Area Crime Stoppers at 1-866-602-7463.
