Man stabbed in Ceres refuses to cooperate with police

A man is in a local hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Ceres on Friday morning.

A witness called police at about 11:30 a.m. to report seeing two men fighting on Industrial Way, an unincorporated part of Ceres, said Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jon McQueary.

The witness saw one of the men walking away bleeding and deputies found him walking near Central Avenue. He had multiple stab wounds, McQueary said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. He refused to cooperate with deputies so no suspect had been identified, McQueary said.
