Modesto police respond to shooting on McHenry Avenue, find homicide victim
A man was fatally shot late Thursday or early Friday on the 900 block of McHenry Avenue, near Griswold Avenue, in the parking lot of a closed business.
Modesto police officers responded just after 12 a.m. to a report of a shooting and found an adult male with at least one gunshot wound.
The victim died at the scene. Officers from the Violent Crimes Unit are working to identify those involved and anyone who may have witnessed the shooting.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The Modesto Police Department said no further information is available at this time.
