Modesto police release video of ‘vehicle of interest’ in killing of DoorDash driver
Modesto police released video of a “vehicle of interest” in the April 18 shooting death of DoorDash driver Andrew Satavu.
The seven-second clip shows a faint image of what appears to be a late-1990s, 4-door Toyota Camry. It was attached to a Monday evening news release with no explanation of its relevance to the case.
Satavu, 56, had just completed a delivery in the 1600 block of Gardenia Road, just southeast of the McHenry Village shopping center, when he was shot multiple times, police said earlier.
“Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle in this video which is considered a vehicle of interest in this investigation,” Monday’s release said.
Satavu was a native of Fiji who had retired early from U.S. Foods in Livermore but took up food delivery to stay active, son Marcus told The Modesto Bee last month.
