Man shot multiple times in west Modesto

Stanislaus County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in west Modesto on Wednesday morning.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1700 block of Donald Street about 9:28 for a report of a man shot.

The man, 49, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery. His condition was not known Wednesday evening.

No suspects have been identified.
