Turlock man arrested in connection with child pornography investigation

A Turlock man was arrested Thursday after police found child pornography during a search of electronic devices he allegedly owns, according to a press release from the Turlock Police Department.

Turlock Police received a tip Wednesday about possible child pornography crimes. A tech crimes detective investigated the tip and found a possible identity associated with an electronic device used for the alleged crime.

Officers contacted 26-year-old Alejandro Daniel Valenzuela, according to the release, who agreed to come to the police station for an interview. In addition to the interview, police located and searched several other electronic devices connected to Valenzuela and found additional evidence.

Valenzuela was arrested at the police station without incident after the interview, the release said. He faces two felony charges including possession of child pornography and sending or selling obscene matter depicting a minor.

Anyone with additional information should call Detective Timothy Redd at 209-664-7325 or the tip line at 209-668-5550, ext. 6780, or email tpdtipline@turlock.ca.us
