Possible assault with deadly weapon reported in Patterson. Deputies at three scenes
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three scenes around Patterson connected to a possible assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies began responding around 2:30 p.m. Friday to the alleged assault report, Sgt. Luke Schwartz said. An initial investigation shows the incident began within Patterson city limits and then continued to scenes on Sycamore Avenue and at West Main Avenue and South Carpenter Road.
The area where the incident occurred is near several Patterson schools.
“We are aware of the incident and are currently investigating the facts,” Patterson Joint Unified School District spokesman Johnny Padilla said Friday afternoon. “The incident did not occur during the school day or at any of our campuses.”
While law enforcement is still conducting its investigation, Padilla said, “they have been able to confirm, however, that the victim is not a student in Patterson.”
The office is still trying to determine exactly what happened, including the extent of any injuries sustained. Schwartz said.
